Time: to

London - full details confirmed on booking EC3P

This roundtable event will cover best practice on inclusive performance management with an ethnicity lens.

It will support employers with Race at Work Charter commitment 4: Make clear that supporting equality in the workplace is the responsibility of all leaders and managers.
Sandra Kerr OBE, Race Equality Director at Business in the Community’s, will share details on how to set effective diversity targets for organisations and individuals, as well as how to run fair performance appraisals. Plus, we will hear from employers who have set SMART* objectives to promote equality and fairness for all staff.
The Race At Work 2018 report found that organisations need to review their performance management now to create more inclusive work environments because:
  • Only 32% of managers have a performance objective to promote equality at work
  • 52% of BAME employees believe that they will have to leave their current organisation to progress in their career (compared to 38% of White British employees)
Tea and coffee will be available

This event is free for Business in the Community’s race partner organisations. The content is designed for practitioners in the areas of inclusion & diversity, HR, Talent, and Reward; employee network chairs and members are welcome. Members of Business in the Community can also apply for a free place.
